The Peabody library in Baltimore is the most stunning library I ever laid eyes on. The books in my library are not stored there—thank God, as how then should I get at them?—but this grand spectacle does inspire me in its dedication to books. How elevating is that?

The 4,000 volumes in my library were gathered over a lifetime of teaching and writing. They reflect my view of the knowledge that a student of International Relations and American Foreign Policy should seek to acquire. I hope the site is useful to people who like to browse the stacks at libraries and that it will help the collection find an institutional home.
